"The Worst I Ever Got Beat"- Top Defeats in Running

I hope to make this a reoccurring item, so here is it's debut!!! Introducting a new type of claim to shame in "the worst i ever got beat" which highlights outlandish defeats and shattering PW's (personal worsts). Here goes an arbitrary Top 3 List:

3. Kelsey Reynolds (that's me!) runs her first 10k at the ScandiaRun and finds herself pacing a 7 year old boy for the last 3 miles. The little son'of'a'beezwax rotates sprinting and walking for the remainder of the race the finally demonstrates his supirior athleticism with an impressive sprint/walk kick at the finish to defeat her.

2. Olivia Bender runs the Truffle Shuffle and hears a competitor approach from behind her. The competitor turns out to be a giant Truffle who runs beside her teasing her to go faster. Eventually the giant hunk of chocolate gets bored and passes her easily. She cannot believe that she gets beat by chocolate.

1. Melody Almorth appears to be one of the last two remaining runners on the Trask Invitational course (the McMinville Mud Race). After crossing a river twice, a damed and flooded mud hole twice, tackling a guerling 1k climb and managing 400m of slip'n'slide style mud, Melody is competing for second-to-last place against a guy with no legs. The guy with no legs wins.
